Nihilism: The Logical Consequence of Atheism
The speaker in this short video is correct in noting the inconsistencies inherent in "secular" humanism, which teaches that "one ought to do this or not do that to one's fellow man." If there is no God, there is no "ought," only personal preference, and therefore no good or evil. Nihilism (amoralism) is the logical outworking of consistent atheism. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: but fools despise wisdom and knowledge.... All who hate me love death" (Proverbs 1:7, 8:36). "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind..." (Romans 1:28)
